Mobile Milestones operates as an out of network (OON) provider. This means that we do not directly contract with any insurance companies. Why??? Initially our practice attempted to contract with the larger insurance carriers in our area to increase our access and affordability. However what we found was that the contracts limited us in how much therapy we can provide and which codes could be billed. In all cases, we would only be able to treat our kiddos for 15-30 minutes.
This was unacceptable to our team. Our mission is to provide person-centered, high quality care for the best outcomes. We believe that our amazing clinicians and the families we serve should be in charge of the plan of care. Each treatment plan is specifically tailored to meet the needs of our families and the children we serve. This includes short term and long term goals, scheduling, amount of visits, as well as specific activities and interventions. We pride ourselves on these concepts and will not compromise our care to satisfy corporate entities.
So what does this mean for you and your wallet? Our office staff helps families to understand their insurance benefits. We will assist you in finding your out of network benefit and deductible. Our office will send an invoice directly to you with a superbill through a patient portal (no paper, no wait!). This superbill then get sent to your insurance company for reimbursement. This process typically takes up to 14 days. Some insurance companies allow us to bill them directly as OON providers, leaving some families with either a co-pay or no fee at all
